STNP-RFLSE Injection
Seeder Fiber Laser
STNP�s seed laser system is used
to achieve single longitudinal mode operation of a Q-switched high energy laser
by seeding the host laser with a very narrow linewidth continuous wave fiber
laser. A piezo electric transducer (PZT), mounted on one of the host laser
cavity mirrors, adjusts the 2 laser cavities. The seed laser consists of a
narrow linewidth 1μm fiber laser with additional control electronics to drive
the PZT through a feedback loop that minimized the host laser pulse build up
time. Single mode fiber ensures an ideal transverse mode profile and alleviates
mode matching to the host laser. Very good frequency stability of the fiber
laser guarantees long uninterrupted period of seeded operation. The seed laser
system can be manufactured at any wavelength between 1030 and 1080 nm and
therefore match a wide variety of crystal lasers like YAG, YLF or Vanadate.
Completely digital control electronics provide the flexibility to easily adapt
the seed system to different host laser specifications.

STNP�s
Brillouin Fiber Laser System is a stand-alone fiber laser for sensing, LIDAR, RF-photonics,
metrology, test and measurement, telecommunications, and general research
applications. The Brillouin Fiber Laser Source incorporates proprietary EMF
(Erbium Micro Fiber) technology. A high power, ultra-narrow linewidth EMF fiber
laser is used to pump a stabilized Brillouin fiber ring laser to achieve
unprecedented narrow linewidth and low noise. The laser provides 25 mW of CW
output power (1530-1565 nm).

STNP-FLS Single-Frequency
Narrow-Linewidth Fiber Laser
Leveraging its expertise in highly doped germanate glass and fibers, we offers a
2-um single frequency Ho-doped fiber laser with output powers up to 25 mW.
Wavelength operation near 2.05 micron is very attractive for CO2 detection
applications. The design of 2-micron short-cavity laser is similar to Er/Yb and
Yb doped phosphate glass fiber laser, which exhibits single-frequency operation
with narrow linewidth and excellent frequency-noise properties. A low noise
Tm-doped fiber laser pumps the Ho-doped fiber laser � resulting in superior
noise properties for the output at 2-micron. An acoustically damped package is
used to isolate the DBR laser cavity and results in stable operation over long
periods.
Coherent
Doppler Lidar and Differential Absorption Lidar (DIALs), working with 2-micron
pulsed lasers, make possible detailed measurements of wind, CO2, aerosols,
clouds and river flow. Next generation LIDARs require a seed laser source with
wavelength tunability, frequency stability, narrow linewidth, efficient
operation, compact size, and low thermal load. Recently the development of
diode-pumped single frequency fiber lasers has drawn more and more attention due
to its narrower linewidth, longer coherence length, multiple wavelength choice,
reliability, ruggedness, and compactness. The wide range of operating
wavelengths of fiber lasers provide the flexibility for those applications where
operation wavelength is vital, such as laser spectroscopy, remote sensing, and
coherent laser seeding application.

Thuliumdoped fiber laser at 2-μm with an output power up to 25 W. The system
comes in user-friendly configuration as a turnkey source. The laser module is
housed in an acoustically damped package used to isolate the DBR laser cavity
and results in stable operation over extended periods. The output from the
delivery fiber is single transverse mode. The system is an ideal configuration
