excited (PIE) preionization of CW

ABSTRACT:
The PIE preionisation technology and its application were
studied both theoretically and experimentally in this paper. It
was proven that the PIE preionisation can reduce the E/N
value, increase the pd value, and decrease the ignition voltage.
Thus the PIE preionisation technology is an effective
method to improve the discharge stability and increase the output
power of CW CO2 laser.
